Marlow Ropes is proud to be the official supplier of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, a 16 year long partnership. The full Clipper 70 yacht fleet are equipped with specialist Marlow products, and along with the 712 amateur crew, will experience one of the greatest challenges and an endurance test like no other as they circumnavigate 40,000 nautical miles.

WE ARE BACK! TEAM VISIT SEATTLE IS BACK AT THE FRONT!

What a week that was. Holy Moly! Managed to find the doldrums before the actual zone and parked for many hours in the heat with nowhere to go and no wind... grrr ... definitely not the moments I enjoy the most. It's pretty frustrating. This no wind zone has also compressed the fleet so the race is closer than ever.

It's been a tough week onboard Visit Seattle as we lost our Code 2 (lightweight spinnaker) early in the week in addition to needing many repairs to our Code 3 (medium weight spinnaker).  All of this has affected our ranking and our moral obviously. Like Marlow Ropes though, it will take a lot for us to give up and we've been fighting ever since to climb our way back to the top of the fleet from 10th back to 3rd which we reached Sunday morning.
