The RYA Dinghy Show was back with a bang for 2023  with plenty of energy, a high footfall and lots of Marlow-rigged boats, splicing tutorials and rope advice on stand J34.

On both days Marlow’s Leisure Marine Manager David Mossman gave a talk on the Knowledge Zone stage ‘Rig to Win: How to Maximise your Performance with Marlow Ropes’ before leading splicing tutorials with the Marlow team and British Sailing Squad IQ Foilers Catrin, Jess and Alice, and 49er Fynn Sterritt.

In usual tradition, we were delighted to announce this year’s UK Youth Class Association Ambassador Line-Up who joined us for a Meet & Greet and splicing workshop.  Congratulations to the following sailors:

• Carys Attwell – ILCA Class
• Arlo Braund – 420 Class
• Florence Tovey – Topper Class
• Charlie Gran – 29er Class

Special congratulations also go to Hattie Rogers who was announced as YJA’s Yachtswoman of the Year – a wonderful achievement for her and her family, following in the footsteps of 2021 winner Pip Hare and Dame Ellen MacArthur.
