MARLOW ANNOUNCE FIVE YOUTH SAILING AMBASSADORS FOR 2021

Following a terrific response to the Spring call for entries, Marlow Ropes are now delighted to announce five new youth Ambassadors for the inaugural year of the MARLOW ROPES UK YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME 2021.

The yearly Youth Ambassador programme is an opportunity for rising stars in key Class Associations to gain support from a leading Leisure Marine global brand.  Key areas of support from Marlow will include rigging assistance to maximise performance and the sharing of technical knowledge, splicing techniques, rope care and much more.  The Ambassadors will work with Marlow at national events and gain online exposure.  One Youth Ambassador has been selected per class for the duration of one year starting from 30th April 2021.

Congratulations to the following sailors:

Millie Irish – 420 Class Association

Raulf Berry – 29er Class Association

Carys Attwell –  ILCA International laser Class Association

Finn Caddy – Topper Class Association

William Fletcher – Optimist Class Association

Leisure Marine Manager David Mossman comments:

“We are delighted to have had such a great response in this first year to our Youth Ambassador programme. Marlow has a strong reputation of working with the top sailing and racing teams in the world such as the British Sailing Team and we gain a lot of  hands-on knowledge from working closely with these sailors. Working with the youth sailing community is equally as important to us, to gain an understanding of how we can better engineer our products in the class associations, as well as sharing our expertise and championing the sailing athletes of the future.  We are excited to work with these rising stars and to follow their success.”
