Fast Rope Insertion & Extraction System (FRIES) re-designed loop & lanyards

Innovators in the field of rope technology,  Marlow Ropes Ltd were pioneers of the original Fast Rope in conjunction with the British Special Forces.  Over the last 50 years, these ropes have been used worldwide by traditional Special Forces and SWAT teams and Marlow’s Fast Rope range now includes various developments and innovations to meet the needs of military professionals using Marlow’s fast rope products. 

The Fast Rope Insertion and Extraction System (FRIES) has been once such variant of the original Fast Rope product, and revolutionised the method of inserting and extracting personnel during land, sea and air military operations and rescues around the world.   For 2023, Marlow has re-designed the FRIES loop and lanyard system which is sewn in place using Marlow’s hardwearing black static lsk offering a reliable, hard-wearing attachment to ensure  the system can safely transport up to six individuals.

Tried and tested by working at height professionals around the world, Marlow Ropes are now launching a new solid black Tactical version of this hard-wearing UKCA, CE and NFPA certified semi-static rope.

Constructed with multiple-twisted Nylon (polyamide) cores and a rugged 32 plait polyester cover.  The Protec 250 Enforcer abseil/climbing line rivals Marlow’s popular ‘Black Marlow’, as a tough and durable work-positioning rope.
