Marlow Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

At Marlow Ropes we are always looking to the future with innovation and development. We are proud to have been manufacturing rope on the same premises in Hailsham (East-Sussex) for over 200 years. We operate both nationally and internationally and produce high quality, bespoke-made rope products and accessories for the Leisure Marine, Defence, Rope Access, Industrial, Arboriculture and Event industries.

As a market leading rope maker, Marlow has continued to grow and adapt over the last 200 years. In 2015, we introduced a vibrant pink yarn into our Gecko FCR 2 climbing rope used in the arboricultural industry and in our Leisure Marine Excel Dinghy range.

Over 99% of new cases of breast cancer are in women – Breast Cancer Care UK

At Marlow, we contribute money to charities and trusts every year as we understand the importance of helping make a change where we can. Cancer Research UK is just one charity that we work closely with donating a percentage of the profits made from all pink rope sales as one of our company initiatives.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want you to show your support and get involved in helping us donate as much as we can to this life saving charity. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with 1 in 8 women being diagnosed and, in this month alone, over 5,000 women being diagnosed.

The money that we donate helps to develop, improve and fund crucial research, care and treatments needed to reduce cancer deaths. Our Gecko FCR rope is used by arborists all over the world, including Michael Salvage Tree Surgeon (pictured above).
