THE EUROPEAN GAMES

June 2015 saw the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.  It was an amazing spectacle but as with all these events it took years of planning and months of hard work in the lead-up.  Earlier in the year, event rigging and stage engineering specialists Stage Technologies came to us for synthetic fiber ropes required for their multi-axis power flying systems being installed in the stadium.

We were able to supply Dyneema ropes that met the demanding needs to the system, both in terms of strength by diameter and low elongation, using our “MAX” super pre-stretching process and Dyneema SK99 fiber.

As usual Stage Technologies did an amazing job, which the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies were testament to.
