Marlow Ropes USA Welcomes 2023 Leisure Marine Brand Ambassadors Cam Farrah and Ravi Parent

Marlow Ropes USA is proud to announce its newest leisure marine brand ambassadors for 2023 – Cam Farrah and Ravi Parent.

A recent graduate of Tulane University, Cam is a rising star in the foiling class. More specifically, she is the only woman racing foiling A Class Catamarans in North America and the current Women’s and Junior (U25) Foiling A Class World Champion. If that’s not impressive enough, she is also skippering a Nacra 17 Olympic campaign for 2028.

Cam sails in the Acat, Nacra 17, Viper 640 and Weta Trimaran classes, has been sailing Persico 69Fs and recently started sailing Moths. Her goal is to be regarded as the best female foiling sailor in the world one day. She is a self-pronounced “huge fan” of Marlow products and has been rigging her Acat and Nacra 17 with them for the past three years.

Marlow USA will provide running rigging for her Acat, in colors that will coordinate with her boat’s mast, (which she recently painted pink). Marlow will also help her select a mainsheet – one with superior durability to withstand the amount of sailing she does – perhaps a triple blend with a Technora cover.

Ravi has had tremendous success competing in the foiling and catamaran circuits. Since his graduation from Boston University in 2018, Ravi has mounted an Olympic campaign in a Nacra 17 and represented the US Sailing Team in multiple world and Olympic level events. He was named the 2022 US Rolex Yachtsman of the Year and crowned 2022 Catsailor of the Year, after winning the A-Cat Open Worlds Title plus the F18 Europeans & F18 World Championships in the same season. Ravi told us, “Marlow played a key part in these successes as I used your products in almost every application on the A-Cat and N17 and in the most important sheets on the F18. I intend to defend my titles in those classes and sail my first Moth Worlds this summer. All three of these boats are perfect billboards and the members of these classes recognize the high quality and performance Marlow provides across your product range.”
