US Outside Sales Executive – Leisure Marine

Marlow Ropes USA, the Massachusetts-based sales office of the leading UK rope manufacturer, seeks a highly motivated individual to join our small team and assist in the sales and marketing efforts as we grow the brand in the North American market.
THE COMPANY
Marlow Ropes USA was created in 2013 to address the increasing demand for the Marlow products in North America. Situated in Plymouth, MA, in what was once the largest rope factory in the world, we distribute rope into a variety of industries in the US, including: Yachting, Defense and Working at Height.
THE POSITION
We’re looking for a full-time Sales Executive to back up our Yachting Sales Manager’s business development efforts, while maintaining the high level of customer service our existing customers have come to count on.
Time is likely to be split 30% outside travel, visiting customers within the northeast region and 70% proactive inside sales activity.
THE PERSON
You will be enthusiastic and passionate, displaying empathy, credibility and tenacity. Experience in the yachting industry is preferred but not essential, however you will be an experienced sailor, able to discuss all aspects of the sport with your customers. You will also have sales experience and know how to develop business relationships and grow sales.
THE LOCATION
Located 40 minutes south of Boston, Cordage Park is the former home of Plymouth Cordage Company, once the world’s largest rope manufacturer. The well-known location is situated on the historic waterfront of Plymouth, MA, and is home to on-site commuter rail access, an employee gym, a vibrant local restaurant scene, and nearby access to MA Route 3.
